I think it's supposed to go something like you yelling something about significant whitespace and explicit `self`, I yell something about slow interpreters and open classes, we yell something about each others mom then each throw a girly punch that misses. We then mend our differences and agree to mock Java in the pub. *ducks*

Please don't think our little group is ant-LPDN or anything; certainly not! We just wanted to build a Ruby/Rails centric group and because of current schedules, Tuesdays (we only meet every other week) is the best day for us, at least for now.

We are, however, preparing for a full-on battle in the streets where the blood will flow as high as a horses bridle ... just in case.

Hopefully in the future our group can resolve its scheduling so everybody can mix and matches as it pleases.

Hey all. Was thinking about this the other day and just got reminded of it at dinner tonight. I think it'd be pretty cool to have a #lawrence IRC channel on Freenode. I went ahead and registered one and will start hanging out in there.

Think a mostly social channel with a hint towards programming and all things nerdy. I'd love to hear what people think, or see them drop by IRC and stay for a while :)

Cheap drinks on Tuesday is definitely Vermont St BBQ - $2 or $2.5 Free State pints. I generally don't go there, though, since I'm a vegetarian :-)
